Terms and Conditions
The Terms and Conditions agreement applies to the hire or purchase of goods and services (referred to as ‘the Client’) with C&T Dream Events. The Client agrees to the following terms and conditions upon payment of deposit and/or collection of goods and services.
Bookings
To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total cost is required upon quote acceptance. This deposit confirms your reservation and covers initial administrative and preparation expenses.
If your order is $100 or less, full payment is required
Bookings made 14 days or less before hire/event date, full payment is required in order for your items to be prepared in time for your event.
Rush orders may incur a $50.00 – $200.00 rush order fee.
Refundable Bond of $100.00 applies to all orders.
The bond is refundable once all hired items are returned to C&T Dream Events in good and complete condition. During busy seasons, bond returns may take up to 10 days due to higher workloads. Please ensure your bank details are provided for a direct refund.
Deposit/Payment
Quotes are valid for 7 days, if booking is made after 7 days then prices will be subject to current pricing.
Payment of the BALANCE is required 14 DAYS prior to hire/event in order for your items to be prepared. Items will not be prepared until full payment has been made to C&T Dream Events.
The person responsible for the entire balance of payment is the person who accepted the Terms and Conditions on the quote provided.

A 3% surcharge will be applied to the total amount when payment is requested to be made by credit card. The surcharge will be added to the invoice once the quoted items are confirmed.
IMPORTANT: C&T Dream Events will only provide and deliver the service following receipt of the full payment as outlined within the invoice.
Cancellation and Changes
Cancellation fees apply to any booking cancelled within three months of the event date. In addition, any items specifically purchased by C&T Dream Events for your event will be charged in full to the client.
All cancellations of invoices paid in full or for amounts over the 20% non-refundable deposit, a $50 cancellation fee will apply to any refund.
Cancellations made less than 14 days before the event will receive a refund for the delivery and collection fees only (if applicable) – the cost for hire equipment is considered a cost of lost opportunity and is not refundable.
Basic changes to an order may be made up to 14 days out from an event.
Custom hire order cancellation/changes may incur a cost and will be subject to hire item/s.
Responsibility of Hirer (Loss or Damage)
The Client is responsible for the correct use of all hired items and must guard against misuse, damage or loss of items from the time of pick up (or delivery) from C&T Dream Events until return from Client (or Collection by C&T Dream Events).
The Client will ensure the correct fitting of the chair covers and shall not attempt to alter, repair or modify items.
Chair sashes must all be untied before returning.
The Client must ensure correct use of candles and in accordance to venue requirements. Wax damage to table linen will incur extra charges.
Wax must be removed from all candle holders before returning.
The Client agrees not to use the equipment at locations or purposes different to the equipment’s general designated purpose and specified suitability, such as indoor vs. outdoor use. The Client acknowledges responsibility for equipment and is liable for any damage.
If hire items are returned damaged, broken, heavily stained or missing items will be charged at full replacement costs and/or repairs will be charged for damage to or loss of any hire item or packaging.
The Client will accept liability to any injury or damage caused to the client or associate users and their property if hire item/s are incorrectly used.
Hired items
Hired items remain the property of C&T Dream Events.
The Client is responsible for all hire items during the hire period.
Hireage is Based on Single Use Only.
Items must be returned to C&T Dream Events in the agreed time. Late return of hired items may incur extra charges.
The hirer is responsible for items and the correct usage of equipment hired until returned. Items are not covered by C&T Dream Events insurance while out on hire.
We make every attempt to supply items as requested but if due to circumstances outside our control we are unable to supply exactly as requested we reserve the right to substitute with a similar products.
No refunds will be provided for items that are hired and not utilised.
Collection and Return of Hired Items
Collection and return of all items to C&T Dream Events as prior arranged shop is open by appointment only.
The Client is responsible for repackaging of the hire items being transported back to C&T Dream Events.
All packaging used for hire items must be returned with hire items in correct original packaging.
If damage occurs due to repackaging by Client, the Client will be liable for the subsequent costs.
Delivery and Pick Up
The Client agrees to all delivery/pick up charges, freight/courier and handling costs as applicable.
All packaging used for hire items delivered must also be returned with hire items in correct original packaging.
Hired items must be located at an easy access point on street/ground level by an entrance/loading dock for easy delivery/pick up. Extra charges may apply for delivery/pick up from higher or lower levels.
Locations/Venues with difficult access for delivery/pick up may incur additional charges.
C&T Dream Events standard Delivery/Collection charges are subject to change without notification. (Charges are dependent on distance to delivery location from the showroom – please ask for cost).
Set up & Pack down requirements
C&T Dream Events Set/Packdown charges are subject to change without notification. (Charges are dependent on hire order and distance to delivery location from showroom – please ask for cost).
The latest time of pack down/collection is 10:45pm. If a late-night pack down/collection is required after 10:45pm), this will cost an additional $60. The Client will be informed in writing and invoiced accordingly. We do allow collection of hired item(s) the following day, without any additional charge, however this is subject to availability and must be communicated with C&T Dream Events.
It is the Client's responsibility to discuss with their venue (if applicable) the appropriate timeframes for setup as well as collection of the hired items. The Client must adhere to the agreed timeframes for setup and pack down. If the venue is unavailable or inaccessible on the day of the event, C&T Dream Events will communicate directly to the client to resolve the situation.
C&T Dream Events will only allow a maximum of half an hour to wait for setup or pack down to occur outside the agreed timeframes. This is due to other event bookings that may be scheduled on the same day or restricted staff availability. Anything outside the setup and pack down timeframes must be agreed between the Client and C&T Dream Events. Additional charge may appply to extended wait times outside the agreed timeframes.
The Client must ensure that there is appropriate parking at the venue for C&T Dream Events prior to and after the event. If paid parking is required at the venue, the Client agrees to pay for the fee accordingly.
Model release
C&T Dream Events reserves the right to take photos at event locations utilising C&T Dream Events equipment. Photos are taken with a focus on the equipment and are selected with due care to exclude recognisable private property and persons. Photos may be used in publications or other media produced, used, or contracted by C&T Dream Events.
Limitation of Liability
Except where the company is in breach of a guarantee in terms of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the client in entering into this contract acknowledges that in all other circumstances whatsoever C&T Dream Events shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage, loss or expense whatsoever and howsoever arising (whether in contact or in tort) including that resulting from negligence of the Company or arising by operation of law and whether suffered by the Client and/or third party for any amount that exceeds the amount actually paid by the Client to C&T Dream Events pursuant to this contract.
If the Client is acquiring the services for the purposes of a business as defined in the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the provisions of that Act do not apply.
If the Client is purchasing goods rather than hiring them, then except as prohibited by law, all guarantees in respect of the equipment, whether express or implied, are excluded.
If during the hire period, the Client moves, adjusts or removes any items/displays installed by C&T Dream Events, C&T Dream Events accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage or injury sustained by the Client, or any other parties resulting from such activities.
Disputes
Should a dispute arise relating to any of these terms and conditions, the hire or the use of any items, the parties agree to resolve the dispute between themselves. In the event of failure to come to some resolution by this means, the parties agree to settle the dispute by mediation with the assistance of a relevant industry body before commencing any litigation proceedings. If this fails, the parties agree to arbitrate in dispute in accordance with the Arbitration Act.
